Today, I am very pleased to announce a three-year pilot project for immigrants for Atlantic Canada.

When I speak to people throughout the region of Atlantic Canada, I hear this again and again and again that immigrants are needed to grow the economy, to grow jobs, to be sustainable in this part of the world, and so that is what we're delivering on.

It's important for the region to have more immigrants, and today I am announcing a new pilot program for 2017 involving 2,000 people, with an increasing number in the years to follow.
