The Atlantic Growth Strategy is a long-term plan to build sustainable prosperity in Atlantic Canada for generations to come.

 

There are five goals to the Atlantic Growth Strategy, each addressing an issue important to Atlantic Canada:

  1. Attract and retain a Skilled Workforce and Immigrants
  2. Foster greater Business Innovation
  3. Reach Climate Change targets and advance Clean Growth
  4. Create growth and jobs through Trade, Investment, and Tourism
  5. Support growth, engage and connect people through Infrastructure

Why an Atlantic Growth Strategy is needed

Atlantic Canada is home to great ideas, great products, great innovators, and a strong drive to succeed. Harnessing these assets and competing in a rapidly changing global environment are key to sustained economic growth in Atlantic Canada. Our region's businesses must innovate, must attract, develop and retain skilled workers, and must compete globally if they are to grow and create high quality jobs for Atlantic Canadians.
