Response provided within 30 days following receipt of request.

The response time may be extended, pursuant to section 9 of the Access to Information Act. In such cases, the department must notify the requestor about the extension within 30 days following receipt of the request.

Performance Results:

The 30-day performance standard was met 32% of the time.

The overall performance standard (which includes extensions) was met 57% of the time.

Delays that exceeded the standard were mainly due to workload and the consultation process.

Other Information: Under the Access to Information Act, fees under $25 may be waived when deemed to be in the public interest. ACOA’s practice is to collect only the application fee and, in the public interest, to waive any other applicable fees. Fees waived during 2013-14 amounted to $554.
