Federal Government Supports Triple C Recreation Council

Improvements to the Triple C Recreation Centre will enhance community use
September 1, 2016 - Rockland, N.B. - Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA)
TJ Harvey, Member of Parliament for Tobique-Mactaquac, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), congratulated members of Rockland and surrounding communities at the Triple C Recreation Centre with an onsite visit.
The Government of Canada invested $13,842 in the Triple C Recreation Council through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150). The funding was used for upgrades to the Triple C Recreation Centre including the construction of a shelter for hosting outdoor events and the installation of two heat pumps with electrical upgrades to improve the Centre’s energy efficiency.
CIP 150 is providing up to $300 million nationally over two years to support projects to rehabilitate, renovate and expand community and recreational infrastructure as part of the Government of Canada’s activities to honour Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation.
