Moncton Flight College Expanding

News Release

New flight training simulators will help Flight College soar to new heights

September 19, 2016 – Dieppe, NB – Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA)

Moncton Flight College is expanding and creating new jobs, thanks to investments by the Government of Canada and the Province of New Brunswick.

The expansion includes the purchase and installation of four new flight training simulators, which will modernize operations and increase profitability. This project will enable the company to train up to 130 additional students over the next two years. The Government of Canada, through ACOA’s Business Development Program, is providing a repayable contribution of $280,300 for the flight training simulators, while the Province of New Brunswick, through Opportunities NB, will contribute up to $260,000 in the form of a payroll rebate over four years to create 29 full-time positions.

The Moncton Flight College operates two training bases located in Moncton and Fredericton and trains 340 students annually, including 230 from China. Three of the flight simulators purchased will be located in Fredericton and one in Moncton. The flight simulators have the ability to simulate a Cessna jet for the Civil Aviation Flight University of China contract.
