Improvements Announced for Canada Games Aquatic Centre

Government of Canada and City of Saint John Provide Funding for Upgrades

Atlantic Canada’s success depends on the wellbeing of its communities and the people who live and serve in them every day. Smart, targeted investments in community infrastructure support the vitality of our communities and strengthen the middle class and those seeking to join it. 

Wayne Long, Member of Parliament for Saint John, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) joined His Worship Don Darling, Mayor of the City of Saint John, to announce total funding of more than $398,000 for the Canada Games Aquatics Centre for infrastructure improvements. 

The Government of Canada, through ACOA is investing $197,470 in the project through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) while the City of Saint John is providing $200,790.
