St. Stephen Curling Club Benefits from CIP 150 Funds

Federal funds will help rehabilitate 19th century facility

Curlers in St. Stephen received good news this evening as they learned that the St. Stephen Curling Club is receiving funding needed for plumbing upgrades, painting, as well as the installation of ice dehumidifiers and a new roof.
Karen Ludwig, Member of Parliament for New Brunswick Southwest, today announced an investment of $21,620 through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) for the project to upgrade the St. Stephen Curling Club, a structure built in the 1800’s.
Today’s announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).
The Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) is delivered through ACOA in Atlantic Canada. These investments, to honour Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation, help create jobs, boost economic activity, strengthen communities and celebrate Canada’s rich heritage and history.
