UPDATED WITH VENUE CHANGE: Federal ministers and Atlantic premiers to meet on Atlantic Growth Strategy

Moncton, N.B. – February 19, 2018 — The Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, along with the Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Minister of Health and Member of Parliament for Moncton—Riverview—Dieppe, and the Honourable Brian Gallant, Premier of New Brunswick, will co-host a news conference following the meeting of the Atlantic Growth Strategy Leadership Committee on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Minister LeBlanc, Minister Petitpas Taylor and Premier Gallant will be joined by the Honourable Wade MacLauchlan, Premier of Prince Edward Island; the Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador; the Honourable Scott Brison, President of the Treasury Board; the Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food; the Honourable Seamus O’Regan, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence; the Honourable Ahmed D. Hussen, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship; and the Honourable Karen Casey, Deputy Premier of Nova Scotia and Minister of Finance and Treasury Board.

The Atlantic Growth Strategy Leadership Committee members will also highlight the Ocean supercluster, one of the successful proposals under the $950-million Innovation Superclusters Initiative. They will be joined by representatives of the Ocean supercluster.

There will be a photo opportunity at 9:00 a.m. AST (cameras only) and a news conference at 12:30 p.m. AST
