Dovico Software Inc. Brings Client Productivity to the Next Level

Innovation is key to growing the economy and creating good-quality jobs for the middle-class and those working hard to join it. Thanks to investments of more than $460,000 from the federal and provincial governments, Dovico Software Inc. will be better positioned to respond to consumer demands by boosting the company’s in-house expertise and enhancing its leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution for improving productivity.  

The Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Minister of Health and Member of Parliament for Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), along with the Honourable Cathy Rogers, Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Honourable Francine Landry, Minister of Economic Development and Minister responsible for Opportunities NB, joined officials from Dovico Software Inc. to make the announcement today.

The Government of Canada is providing a $332,250 repayable contribution through ACOA’s Business Development Program. This investment will result in hiring new expertise to support the company’s long term growth, purchasing software and hardware equipment used for testing and monitoring, and sub-contracting expert consulting services to identify risks and formulate more robust security strategies.

The provincial government is investing almost $131,000 in Dovico Software Inc. to create full-time positions and expand markets. Specifically, Opportunities NB is investing up to $110,069 to support these new positions and fund market development activities. The Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour is investing an additional $20,800 through the One-Job Pledge program.

The total federal and provincial government combined investments will create up to 13 full-time jobs. The company’s flagship product, Dovico Timesheet, is sold worldwide to companies such as Xerox, HedgeServ and Ryan.

Investments in innovation are part of the Government of Canada’s Innovation and Skills Plan, a multi-year strategy to create growing, innovative businesses with global reach, to strengthen regional economies, and create good jobs for all Canadians. This investment also builds on the Atlantic Growth Strategy.
