Saint John Firm Developing Leading Edge Wireless Technology to Improve Customer Experience

Innovation fosters a thriving middle class and opens the country to new economic, social and environmental possibilities. It creates good jobs and improves the quality of life of all Canadians. With support from the Government of Canada, Mariner Partners, Inc.is developing an innovative new solution to address a gap in the rapidly changing communications industry.

Specifically, Mariner Partners, Inc. is developing software that will prove critical to Communication Service Providers as the industry moves away from physical network infrastructure and into software-defined virtual networks. The resulting solution, SONAR4 Assurance Analytics, will support agility in the industry and ensure the quality of customer experiences. The Government of Canada is providing a contribution of almost $3 million to support the development of this product.

Wayne Long, Member of Parliament for Saint John-Rothesay, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), along with Mariner Partners, Inc.’s Mariner xVu division president Marc Savoie, made the announcement today.

The Government of Canada is making smart investments that create good, middle-class jobs in our country. It is helping Atlantic Canadians develop and bring to market new products and services that lead to market success, help grow strategic sectors, or lead to the creation of research and commercialization partnerships. Support for this project is one way the Government of Canada is working to achieve its Atlantic Growth Strategy outcome of long-term economic prosperity in the region.
