ACOA investments support destination development and marketing organizations across Atlantic Canada

Backgrounder

COVID-19 and related travel restrictions are severely affecting the tourism sector. The Government of Canada continues to work with organizations responsible for destination development and marketing to help them throughout the pandemic as they pivot their strategies and tourism initiatives to respond to a COVID-19 reality.

The Government of Canada, through ACOA, is allocating more than $2.4 million to support nine destination development and marketing organizations located across Atlantic Canada. This will allow these organizations to strengthen their respective regions and tourism sectors, while helping to position Atlantic Canada’s tourism industry for a strong recovery when travel restrictions are lifted.
