ACOA investments support jobs, growth and tourism opportunities  in Newfoundland and Labrador

Backgrounder

The Government of Canada, through ACOA, is investing $2.9 million in 27 projects across Newfoundland and Labrador to help strengthen the tourism industry and position it for a strong recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Big Land Fishing Lodge and Tours Inc.  $70,000

Enhance the quality of an existing outfitting business.

Pinkston’s Forge marketing, visitor experience development and sale of products.

Enhance the product offering for an existing tourism outfitting operation.

Develop export markets for cultural industries through the ECMAs festival and conference.

Undertake a theatre development for the Seasons in the Bight theatre festival.

Diversify an existing accommodations provider through the addition of new glamping units.           

Southern Labrador Development Association $28,900

Undertake an assessment of the Labrador Pioneer Footpath.

TerraNovas Tourism Association Inc. $28,077

Support the ongoing implementation of the Strategic Tourism for Areas and Regions (STAR) program.
