Central Newfoundland will benefit from investments to help bring people back to public spaces safely

The Government of Canada invests more than $618,000 in nine community shared spaces to stimulate local economies, create jobs, and improve the quality of life of Canadians.

:  Lion Max Simms Memorial Camp Foundation.

Project:  Upgrade the camp building by renovating the exterior and upgrading the HVAC system to revive the space and improve energy efficiency.

:  Town of Appleton.

Project:  Improve the community centre’s energy efficiency and accessibility with upgrades to the heating system, windows, doors, roof and entrance.

Client:  Town of Robert’s Arm

Project Upgrade and expand the community playground with fully accessible equipment and recreational options such as outdoor tennis.

Project Establish connections between existing trails and upgrade surfaces to make them fully accessible.

Project:  Develop an age-friendly, fully accessible walking space to offer physical activities to residents throughout the year.
