Moosehead Breweries get operational and energy efficiency upgrades

Canada’s food and beverage industry has been hit hard by COVID-19. The Government of Canada has taken significant action to help the industry through this difficult period and is committed to giving businesses the tools they need to emerge stronger and more competitive than before.
Innovation is essential to making this a reality. That is why the Government of Canada is investing in Moosehead Breweries to help the company operate more efficiently and reduce costs.
Upgrades will allow Moosehead to remain competitive
Today, Wayne Long, Member of Parliament for Saint John-Rothesay, on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages and Minister responsible for ACOA, announced a repayable contribution of $151,767 to Moosehead Breweries to support operational and energy efficiency upgrades..
The upgrades will include improved lighting and climate control, and increased automation. This will help the company maintain market competitiveness by reducing costs and energy consumption, and improving safety and workflow.
Today’s announcement is further proof of the Government of Canada’s commitment to Canadian food and beverage-based businesses – helping them not just survive, but thrive. Initiatives like this one will help get Canadians back to work and ensure the food sector can play a major role in Canada’s economic recovery.
