Wolastoq Maple Products Inc. to expand operations and develop digital strategy

New Brunswick companies are adapting operations and seeking new market opportunities to stay on the cutting edge and spur growth. The Government of Canada remains focused on keeping Canadians safe and healthy, while also ensuring businesses and individuals have the support they need to move forward from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Federal investment supports business growth
Today, the Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Minister of Official Languages and Minister responsible for ACOA, announced an invesment of $273,250 through the Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI) program for two projects to help Wolastoq Maple Products Inc. scale up, expand operations and develop a digital strategy.
These investments include a repayable contribution of $208,750 to help the company expand its production facility and purchase advanced manufacturing equipment; as well as a non-repayable contribution of $64,500 to develop a digital strategy to increase global competitiveness. These projects will help Wolastoq Maple Products increase production volumes, product quality, labour efficiency and market opportunities as well as create two full-time jobs.
Today’s announcement further demonstrates the Government of Canada’s commitment to help businesses grow, reach new markets, and contribute to contribute to Atlantic Canada’s economic recovery.
