NB Museum enhances website to boost tourism

Tourism helps showcase Atlantic Canada’s beauty, diverse cultural heritage and unique stories on the world stage. By supporting tourism operators and cultural institutions, the Government of Canada is helping to fuel local economies, creating jobs and empowering communities.
Today, Wayne Long, Member of Parliament for Saint John – Rothesay, announced an investment of $107,190 through ACOA’s Tourism Growth Program (TGP) for the New Brunswick Museum. The announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Gudie Hutchings, Minister of Rural Economic Development and Minister responsible for ACOA.
With this investment, the New Brunswick Museum will hire expertise to revamp and enhance its website, paving the way for future growth. The digital enhancements will boost public access to its exhibits and collections, and attract visitors. Key initiatives include digitizing current activities and collections, and creating original content like educational materials and virtual activities to enrich both in-person and online experiences. Additionally, the new website will be optimized for smartphones and tablets, offering a seamless and engaging experience.
Today’s announcement further demonstrates the Government of Canada’s commitment to help grow Atlantic Canada’s tourism sector and showcase the region’s diverse experiences to visitors from around the world.
