The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today two significant seizures of over 16 kg of suspected cocaine at the Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Inside the checked bag, officers found a backpack containing 13 brick-shaped objects which subsequently tested positive for suspected cocaine. The 14.4 kg of suspected cocaine was turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
Earlier that day, CBSA officers referred a traveller, arriving from Aruba for further inspection. During the examination, officers discovered four packages filled with 2.5kg of suspected cocaine attached to his thighs and calves. The subject and suspected contraband were turned over to the RCMP.
