CBSA officers find suspected cocaine at the Toronto Pearson International Airport
News Release
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today the seizure of over 21 kg of suspected cocaine at the Toronto Pearson International Airport.
On October 2, 2016, CBSA officers monitoring the offload of luggage on a flight from Panama noticed an unclaimed suitcase. The suitcase was examined by officers and found to contain two backpacks with 21 brick-shaped bundles.
The content of the bundles subsequently field tested positive for suspected cocaine and they were turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
