CBSA announces new service at Bathurst Regional Airport
News Release
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will begin providing new services for small private and commercial aircraft at the Bathurst Regional Airport on January 12, 2017. The airport has received a designation of Airport of Entry 15 (AOE/15). The designation allows the CBSA to provide screening services and process aircraft with 15 passengers or less (including the crew) and CANPASS passengers during office hours (Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.). Aircraft must report to the Telephone Reporting Center at least two hours before but no more than 48 hours prior to the estimated time of arrival in Canada and provide information for CBSA verification.
The CBSA regularly reviews the designation of airport facilities. After discussions with the Northern New Brunswick Airport Authority (NNBAA), it was determined that the region would benefit from having an airport with the AOE/15 designation.
