CBSA seizes suspected marijuana bound for Europe

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today the seizure of five separate shipments of suspected marijuana, weighing over 20 kilograms, destined for Denmark and Italy. The seizures took place September 18, 2018.
The Denmark shipment contained more than 17 kilograms of suspected marijuana concealed within packages of pills and gum. The export to Italy contained more than two kilograms of suspected marijuana, hidden inside cereal boxes.
The suspected marijuana was turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

For the period of January 1, 2018 to September 20, 2018, CBSA officers in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Region made 91 seizures of export-bound marijuana weighing over 744 kilograms.
