Vancouver Urban Enrollment Centre

News release

July 30, 2020     Vancouver, British Columbia

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the United States (U.S.) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will no longer conduct NEXUS and Free and Secure Trade (FAST) interviews at the Vancouver Urban Enrollment Centre located at 1611 Main St., Vancouver, British Columbia.

The CBSA and U.S. CBP suspended operations at all enrollment centres in the spring in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and will not be re-opening the Vancouver location to the public once COVID-19 restrictions are eased.

NEXUS and FAST program applicants and existing members will need to reschedule interviews after CBSA and U.S. CBP resume joint enrollment operations. Interviews may be scheduled at any of the 23 other enrollment centres, including at the nearby Vancouver International Airport or in Birch Bay, Washington (addresses listed below). NEXUS or FAST appointments may be rescheduled by logging into the online Trusted Traveller Programs (TTP) System.

The re-opening of enrollment centres is continually assessed in consideration of current travel restrictions and they will remain closed until at least September 8, 2020. NEXUS and FAST members who submitted applications for renewal, prior to the expiry date on the card, will maintain their membership for 18 months beyond the expiry date. For more information on the current border measures and requirements, or for information about how COVID-19 is affecting travellers, border services, programs and business, please visit the CBSA website.

Quick facts

  • NEXUS and FAST are bi-national programs jointly administered by the CBSA and the U.S. CBP for low-risk, pre-approved travellers and trade partners entering into Canada and the U.S. These programs provide members with access to expedited processing at designated ports of entry through dedicated processing lanes or kiosks.
