Get to know the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign
The Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC) is one of the largest workforce charitable campaigns in Canada, bringing federal public service employees and retirees together to support community members in need.
Where your donations go
Named recipients
Through the campaign, you can support the named recipients HealthPartners and United Way Centraide, or any registered Canadian charity. Named recipients are the preferred designated recipients of the GCWCC donations. They are chosen for their ability to create significant impact in communities and their capacity to support large workplace campaigns.
United Way Centraide
United Way Centraide is committed to helping people and families across Canada build better lives. They do this by moving people from poverty to possibility, helping kids be all they can be, and building strong and healthy communities.
HealthPartners
HealthPartners unites 20 national health charities to support people facing illness. Your donation funds care, research and programs for conditions like cancer, heart disease, diabetes and more, impacting nearly 9 in 10 Canadians.
When you give to United Way Centraide and HealthPartners, trusted partners with deep community roots and proven results, your donation allows them to plan strategically, respond quickly to emerging needs, and maximize your impact across Canada. More information on named recipients.
Other charities
Through the GCWCC, you can support any of the 86,000 registered Canadian charities that matter most to you.
