Transcription - Message from Francis Bilodeau, 2023 GCWCC National Chair
I’m Francis Bilodeau and I’m excited to be the National Chair of the 2023 Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign.
The GCWCC is the largest and most impactful workplace charitable campaign in Canada. As public servants, giving is part of our culture. Through the campaign, we have the opportunity to come together, innovate and have fun, all while generously donating to build stronger communities and support Canadians in need across the country.
In 2022, public servants raised approximately 28 million dollars for upwards of 6,500 charitable organizations located coast to coast to coast. Our efforts and our contributions make a big impact and it matters!
This year it’s more important than ever for us to be engaged. Increasingly, people across our communities are relying on social programs and reaching out for mental health supports. By getting involved in the campaign, you’ll support friends, neighbours, and families who need a helping hand.
I’m looking forward to collaborating with you and can’t wait to be inspired by your creativity and energy.
So come, join us in this year’s activities and let’s work together to make a difference!

It includes a Deputy Minister Regional Ambassador, an Elder-in Residence, departmental leaders from every region across Canada, a council of enthusiastic young public servants, and representatives for federal retirees.
