A Successful Quiz for a Cause – DM Trivia

On December 5, 2023, 7 Deputy Ministers and Senior Leaders competed in a very fun and challenging DM Trivia finale.

Congratulations to Team Waniska from Indigenous Service Canada on being crowned the 2023 Trivia Master!

33 teams participated in the trivia gmae making it a smashing success! We are thankful for your incredible generosity in raising more than $27,000 to support local charities across the country. Congratulations as well to the 4 trivia teams at Global Affairs Canada for raising more than $7,500, with Team Brainiacs Without Borders raising the most donations.

A special mention for Team Quizzards of Oz from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research who won the title of Best Team Name!

2023 National Awards, Recognition and Closing Ceremony

The national Chair's Office is busy planning an exciting Awards, Recognition and Closing Ceremony. This will be a wonderful opportunity to recognize the dedication and efforts of employees and campaign teams who contributed to making Campaign 2023 a success!

The winners of the Chair's Cup Awards will also be announced during the event. Special guests include John Hannaford, Clerk of the Privy Council and Secretary to the Cabinet and representatives from the named recipients.

The event will take place on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 1 pm (ET).

A limited number of in-person seats are available for champions and leaders who are in the National Capital Region. Contact the Chair's Office by January 23, COB, to reserve your seat.

We count on your support to help us promote the event within your departments.

Opportunities to donate until March 31, 2024

You can still donate to the GCWCC and contribute to your 2023 departmental goals via:

  • Individual donations: Make one-time donations using credit cards or PayPal through ePledge.
  • Events: Organize fundraising events and activities using the Andar events platform until March 31. Speak with your events coordinator about setting up an event.

Toolkits and GCWCC vExpo

Giving Season Toolkit

There is still an opportunity to donate to Campaign 2023. From January 1 to March 31, 2024, public servants who wish to support their departmental campaigns can still do so via one-time gifts and fundraising activities or events.

All amounts raised by March 31, 2024, will go toward your department's 2023 campaign fundraising goals. Download the toolkit, which includes an email template, posters and social media assets to support your communications.

GCWCC vExpo

The vExpo hub is a one-stop destination for GCWCC events, key messages, materials and to source best practices as you prepare for Campaign 2024. Explore the GCWCC vExpo today and consider creating your own departmental kiosk.
