Overland flooding can happen anywhere in Canada, any time of the year. To be #FloodReady this fall, add these tasks to your seasonal list of home maintenance.

Fall Checklist

• Clear leaves from eavestroughs, downspouts, and drains.
• Put sealant around basement windows and beneath ground-level doors.
• Install flood shields/barriers for basement windows and doors.
• Raise large appliances in the basement above the potential water level from a flood.
