ST. JOHN’S (NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR) -- Scott Simms, Member of Parliament for Coast of Bays-Central-Notre Dame, on behalf of the Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, along with the Canadian Coast Guard Atlantic Region, will be in Twillingate to announce details regarding the location of a new search and rescue lifeboat station and to provide a technical briefing for media and invited guests on the process to remove the marine pollution threat from the Manolis L shipwreck.

Date:               Monday May 14, 2018
Time:              11:00 a.m. NDT (technical briefing to follow at 11:45 a.m.)
Location:        Lion’s Club, 5 Rink Road, Twillingate, NL

Media should arrive by 10:45 a.m. and will be required to show credentials.  

NOTE: Media planning to call in to the Manolis L technical briefing are required to register by calling (613) 990-7537 or emailing media.xncr@dfo-mpo.gc.ca by 11:30 a.m. NDT.

Registered media are requested to call in 15 minutes prior to the start of the technical briefing teleconference.
