Minister of Public Services and Procurement to mark shipbuilding milestone at Seaspan Shipyards and speak on the National Shipbuilding Strategy.

Vancouver, British Columbia – The Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Public Services and Procurement, will be at Seaspan Shipyards of Vancouver, British Columbia to provide an update on the progress of the Canadian Coast Guard’s Offshore Oceanographic Science Vessel. Media will be invited to a photo-op followed by a question period with the Minister.  

Media can park at the Seaspan guest parking area and obtain a parking and visitor pass from reception located at 50 Pemberton Avenue.

At 8:45 a.m., members of the media will be picked up from 50 Pemberton reception and will be driven into the shipyard to the event site in a Seaspan Van. At 9:00 a.m., media will be invited to record b-roll.

The event will be outdoors. Flat-soled waterproof footwear is recommended.

Time:          Shuttle leaves at 8:45 a.m. PST (local time). Event begins at 9:00 a.m. PST.

Location:    Seaspan Shipyards Operations Center,

                   50 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver.
