Expression of Interest: Chéticamp, Nova Scotia

The Canadian Coast Guard is requesting expressions of interest for the provision of seasonal housing accommodations for employees. The accommodations must meet the following minimum requirements within the community of Chéticamp, Nova Scotia:

Leasing requirements:

  • Availability from April 1 to July 31, 2026;
  • Potential to be renewed for two (2) additional years;
  • Within a 10 km radius of 15141 Cabot Trail, Chéticamp, Nova Scotia;
  • Residential dwelling including living room, bathroom, three (3) bedrooms, one (1) office space, fully functional kitchen, laundry and storage facilities;
  • Cable, Internet, power included;
  • Fully furnished (including all bed linens and towels); and
  • Parking for four (4) large vehicles (half-ton trucks).

Information to be provided with response:

  • Civic address of proposed location;
  • Age of dwelling and total floor area, including any storage;
  • Exterior and interior photos of dwelling, including all rooms and storage;
  • Type of heating; and
  • List of furniture, appliances (small and large), and utensils provided.

Note: This is not a tender process, nor a request for proposal. It is an inquiry into the availability of leasable accommodations within the specified geographic area. The Canadian  Coast Guard will not necessarily invite offers, or lease space, and may not post any future notices relating to this request. The Canadian Coast Guard reserves the right to proceed with an invitation to offer to lease by inviting only parties deemed to most effectively meet specific operational, security and public safety requirements.
