Locations approved by Canadian Heritage for fingerprinting
The security clearance process requires fingerprinting so that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) can perform the mandatory criminal record check. Depending on your place of residence, you have different options available.
National Capital Region
You must make an appointment at the Personnel Security Office located at 200 Bd Sacré-Coeur Street, in Gatineau.
Hours:
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Anywhere else in Canada
You will need to go to a Commissionaires office. To find the nearest office, visit the Commissionaires’ website. Select your region and use the interactive map to book an appointment.
Remote location
If you live in a remote location where none of the services above are available, please contact Personnel Security by email.
Fees
Canadian Heritage has payment agreements with Commissionaires office. Make sure to have with you:
- Two pieces of identification
- The Document Control Number (DCN) letter of authorization from Gambit ID email
