Media advisory
EDMONTON – Dozens of community leaders will participate in a forum on the mobilization, development and vitality of official-languages minority communities. In March, Minister of Tourism, Official Languages and La Francophonie, Mélanie Joly, announced a revision of the Official Languages Act with the purpose of modernizing it.
This meeting is part of a series of cross-Canada forums on various themes related to the Official Languages Act. These discussions with community stakeholders will help Minister Joly identify key issues and actions to prioritize as part of the review.
