Statement by Minister Guilbeault on the Fête nationale du Québec

GATINEAU, June 24, 2020

Today, on the Fête nationale du Québec, I join all Quebecers in proudly celebrating our culture and heritage.

On this day of festivities, I invite all Quebecers, whatever their origins, to celebrate the values that bring us together: respect, unity and solidarity. Circumstances have, of course, changed how we are doing this—but nothing will stop us from celebrating our Fête nationale. Don’t miss out on all the virtual activities that will put our Francophone culture and artists in the spotlight.

Despite the physical distance, we can continue to let our language and culture shine. Have a great Fête nationale du Québec!
