Signing ceremony for a modernized Canada–Switzerland audiovisual coproduction treaty

MONTRÉAL – The Honourable Pascale St-Onge, Minister of Canadian Heritage, and the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will preside the signing ceremony of a modernized Canada–Switzerland audiovisual coproduction treaty with His Excellency Alain Berset, President of the Swiss Confederation and Head of the Federal Department of Home Affairs.

The ceremony will take place on Friday, on the sidelines of the CINEMANIA Film Festival in Montréal, where Switzerland is this year’s featured country.

Media will be invited to take photos and videos during the ceremony. Minister St-Onge will be available to answer questions from media following the ceremony.

Journalists wishing to attend the event must confirm their attendance by sending their full name and the name of their organization to media@pch.gc.ca by 4 p.m. ET on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Details on how to attend will be provided afterwards.
