Kwakiutl Totem

This totem pole is located on Slater Street, in Ottawa, at the edge of Confederation Park. It is the work of Kwakiutl artist Henry Hunt.

In 1971, the province of British Columbia donated this work of art to commemorate the centennial of its entry into Canada.

Similar totems were donated by the government of British Columbia at the same time to other provinces and territories.
