Totem

This totem pole stands on the eastern point of Victoria Island, in Ottawa.

Carved by a British Columbian Aboriginal artist working in the Gitksan tradition, this totem was erected in a traditional pole-raising ceremony.

The work was created by Walter Harris in 1985.
