Bulletin: CAVCO and COVID-19 Update

In accordance with guidelines for responding to COVID-19, CAVCO employees continue to work from home. Tax credit and CAVCO Personnel Number (CAVCO ID) applications are being processed within normal timeframes.

New information of interest to applicants:

• For Part B or A/B applications submitted after the 24-month deadline, we are now requesting that T2029 waiver forms be submitted to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) by fax. These can be sent using a normal fax machine or an online fax service to 418-556-1824 (Toll-Free: 1-833-646-1576). If an applicant is unable to submit these forms by fax, they must upload copies of the forms with their application in the CAVCO web portal after the originals have been mailed to the CRA. Please go to the T2029 waiver form page to download the form and for instructions on how to properly complete it.
• Callers to our main number, 1-888-433-2200, will notice that our greeting message has changed. Follow the menu prompts to reach a live CAVCO agent or to leave a message.

The following changes to our rules and procedures remain in effect until further notice:

• Affidavits do not need to be notarized.
• Producers should upload videos to the web portal, instead of sending physical media in the mail.
