Canadian Museum of History

The Canadian Museum of History offers meaningful learning experiences designed to support teachers in providing exceptional history education. Students are invited to explore Canada’s rich history and the outstanding achievements of First Peoples. The Canadian History Hall, our signature exhibition, will let them discover the events, personalities and historical currents that have shaped Canada—from time immemorial to the present day. Through authentic artifacts and compelling stories, they will get a new take on Canada’s ever-evolving history. Based on the principles of critical thinking, our programs provide access to material history, problem-solving activities and creative opportunities for students to communicate their findings. Our programs closely match Ontario and Quebec curricula for Social Studies, History and Geography.

The Museum features a number of exhibitions, and is home to the Canadian Children’s Museum and CINÉ+.
