Memorandum of understanding enhances cooperation across jurisdictions 

January 17, 2018 – VANCOUVER, BC – Competition Bureau / Consumer Protection BC 

Today, the Competition Bureau and Consumer Protection BC signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), which will enhance cooperation and help foster a fair and competitive marketplace for the benefit of consumers and the economy, in British Columbia and all of Canada. 

Both organizations play a key role in protecting consumers. This MOU will provide a framework for cooperation between agencies on enforcement matters, marketplace trends, policy and matters of mutual interest. 

Collaboration with domestic and international counterparts is key to effective enforcement of competition and consumer protection legislation.
