Biography

Victor earned a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa in 2017 and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal Center for Technological Education in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2015. He also holds a professional engineer designation with Professional Engineers Ontario.
Throughout his career, Victor has developed solutions to address the design challenges of different industries, which has helped him achieve a comprehensive understanding of engineering systems and their operation. In recent work, he focused on project management, design development and ensuring code compliance of building systems, particularly heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems as well as plumbing and fire protection systems.
In 2023, Victor joined the Canadian Conservation Institute, where he specializes in active climate control and fire protection for cultural institutions, with an emphasis on the preservation of heritage collections and energy sustainability. He works closely with clients, evaluating their current building systems, preparing technical reports and providing engineering recommendations.
