Why was the policy developed?
To establish and define the requirements and procedures for use of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems to safeguard the safety and security of all individuals and government assets.
This policy will ensure that all staff involved in the deployment and use of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems, are aware of procedures required in relation to CCTV.
How was it developed?
The Security Branch and the Technical Services, Engineering Services developed this new policy in cooperation with the Strategic Policy Division. Full consultations with were held with internal and external stakeholders.

Who will be affected by the policy?
All Institutional Heads and staff involved in the deployment and use of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems.
