Commissioner's update for offenders and their families: October 27, 2025
This content is a message to federal offenders and their families from Correctional Service Canada's (CSC's) Commissioner.
During the first week of November, CSC celebrates Diversity Week. It is important to take pride in diversity, an important value in Canada.
Diversity helps us learn from each other and grow stronger together. When we respect and include everyone, we build a safer and more positive environment. It is our responsibility to be open to listening and learning from others.
People from diverse cultural, ethnic, religious, and linguistic groups shaped our vibrant Canadian society and discrimination has no place in it.
At CSC, we believe that everyone deserves to be treated with fairness and dignity.
This week, I encourage you to reflect on what makes each of us unique and why that matters.
