Death of an inmate at Bath Institution

February 26, 2016 – Bath, Ontario – Correctional Service Canada

On February 26, 2016, Jonathan Wilson, an inmate at Bath Institution, died at the institutional hospital in Bath.

At the time of his death, Mr. Wilson, 51 years old, had been serving a sentence of 14 years and 6 months since May 1, 2007 for Robbery with Threats of Violence.

The inmate’s next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
