Lockdown at Regional Psychiatric Centre

March 4, 2016 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Correctional Service Canada
On March 4, 2016, at about 12:15 p.m., a lockdown was put in place at the Regional Psychiatric Centre - Prairies, a multi-level federal institution, as a precautionary measure after some inmates showed symptoms associated with Influenza A.
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is working with health authorities in order to resolve the situation as soon as possible.
In order to improve practices aimed at preventing this type of incident, CSC will continue to review the circumstances surrounding this incident and take the appropriate measures.
