Death of an inmate at Bath Institution

August 29, 2016 – Bath, Ontario – Correctional Service Canada

On August 27, 2016, Peter Stark, an inmate at Bath Institution died at Regional Hospital in Bath.

At the time of his death, Mr. Stark, 71 years old, had been serving an indeterminate sentence, since December 1, 1994, for First Degree Murder.

The inmate’s next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
