Offender wanted by Kingston Police

January 23, 2017 – Kingston, Ontario – Correctional Service Canada On January 22, 2017, David Maracle walked away from the Henry Traill Community Correctional Centre (CCC), a federally operated community-based residential facility where he was being supervised under a Long-Term Supervision Order (LTSO).
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Kingston Police and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.
David Maracle is 51 years old, measures 183 cm (6’0”) and weighs 91 kgs (201 lbs). He has a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair. He completed his sentence on October 22, 2015 and remains under supervision as outlined in his LTSO which expires on October 20, 2025.
A LTSO provides an additional measure of safety for the public by ensuring that potentially high-risk offenders are supervised for up to 10 years after their sentences expire. The order is imposed by the Court at sentencing and goes into effect when an offender has completed his or her sentence.
CSC will investigate the circumstances of this incident and is working with the police to locate the offender as quickly as possible.
CSC has given the police all of the information available to help arrest the offender.
