Death of an inmate at the Federal Training Centre

On November 27, 2017, Raymond Sauvé, an inmate from Federal Training Centre died while in our custody.

At the time of his death, Mr. Sauvé, 75 years old, had been serving an indeterminate sentence for Second Degree Murder since February 25, 1994.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate Correctional Service Canada will review the circumstances of the incident and contact the police and the coroner as required.
