Death of an inmate from Dorchester Penitentiary – Medium Security Unit

February 8, 2018 – Dorchester, New Brunswick – Correctional Service Canada

On February 6, 2018, Donald Marlow, an inmate from Dorchester Penitentiary died while in our custody of apparent natural causes following an illness. 

At the time of his death, Mr. Marlow, 72 years old, had been serving an indeterminate sentence for First Degree Murder since February 27, 1990. 

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada will review the circumstances and contact the police and the coroner if required.
