Death of an inmate from Dorchester Penitentiary – Medium Security Unit

On March 1^st, 2018, Robert Budge, an inmate from Dorchester Penitentiary died while in our custody of apparent natural causes following an illness. 

At the time of his death, Mr. Budge, 70 years old, had been serving a sentence of 7 years and 6 months for Sexual offences since November 22, 2010.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada will review the circumstances and contact the police and the coroner if required.
