Death of an inmate from Mission Institution – minimum security unit

On April 27, 2018, Andrew Clark Crowder, an inmate from Mission Institution died while in our custody.

At the time of his death, Mr. Crowder, 29 years old, had been serving a sentence of 4 years for aggravated assault since July 19, 2016.

The inmate’s next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada will review the circumstances and contact the police and the coroner if required.
