Death of an inmate from the Federal Training Centre

On May 3, 2018, Paul-André Harvey, an inmate from the Federal Training Centre died while in our custody of apparent natural causes following an illness.

At the time of his death, Mr. Paul-André Harvey, 81 years old, had been serving a sentence of six years for sexual assault and indecent assault since September 11, 2015.

The inmate’s next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada will review the circumstances and contact the police and the coroner if required.
