Death of an inmate from Millhaven Institution

On June 15, 2018, Nicholas Brennan, an inmate from the Regional Treatment Center at Millhaven Institution died while in our custody.

At the time of his death, Mr. Brennan, 24 years old, had been serving an indeterminate sentence for second-degree murder since September 9, 2016.

The inmate’s next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada will review the circumstances and contact the police and the coroner if required.
